What is the need?
MAC FUNDING
The Senate Appropriations Committee and full Senate recommended zero funding from non-resident professional athletes and entertainers to the Missouri Arts Council in 2011.
RAC FUNDING
The Regional Arts Commission, funded by hotel taxes in the city and county, has notified organizations that they will be reducing funding by at least 25% in 2011.
HOTCITY RECEIVED $36,000, or over 30% of it's budget through these grants. Without replacing this income, we could face the elimination of an entire production from the 2011 season.
In the end, we depend on the donors listed in our program for 59% of our annual budget.
