DONNA M PARRONÉ
DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

Donna is one of the founding members of HotHouse Theatre. She moved to St Louis from New York where she studied with the National Shakespeare Company. In St Louis she received her B.S. in Education, English and Theatre. She teaches theatre classes at SIU-Edwardsville as well as having taught a series of Shakespeare workshops for area teachers for the Shakespeare Festival of St Louis and Shakespeare classes at COCA.

Favorite roles at HotHouse include Lucienne in Bonjour, la, Bonjour , Iris Henniman in Down the Road , Maggie in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof , Mrs Prentice in What the Butler Saw and Rachel Lieberman in The Baby Dance as well as her acclaimed portrayal of Sister Grace in Sacrilege and her testosterone ladened tour de force as John Adams in 1776 . She has also worked for St Louis Shakespeare having played Cleopatra and Mrs. Malaprop in The Rivals , City Players in HOT N THROBBING as Charlene, the Shakespeare Festival of St Louis as Hecate in Macbeth and as a guest artist at SIU-E's summer stock Gypsy where she played Mama Rose.
